Souvenir: Zangh meets Veng for Jean-Paul Gaultier - A virtual encounter between one of the best violin player worldwide and a fabulous movie director

A few years ago, I had the chance to conceive & coordinate an extraordinary project to support the worldwide prelaunch of Jean-Paul Gaultier new fragrance Gaultier2 (pronounce "to the power of two").

Amongst the masterpieces of our UVO (Unidentified Virtual Object), this unique dialogue. While the Russian virtuoso Maxim Vengerov played violin in Wiesbaden, Zhang Yimou answered by writing Chinese calligraphy in with his inner thoughts of the music.

You can see the video here, on Telemak's website (they accomplished to connect Wiesbaden & Beijing in real time and to offer this incredible concert played live online for 600 invitees from Gaultier around the world). A making of is visible here, featuring an interview of my good friend David Mileikowsky who played a key role in the design and the making of this project.

Around us, the team was purely fabulous:

Artists : Maxim Vengerov (Russia) and Zhang Yimou (China)

Design : David Mileikowsky

Production : Peter Verhoeven – Milly Films

Graphic Design : Sign*

Technical support : Telemak with the participation of Apple Macintosh Asia and Witcom

Site hosting and technical developments : Emakina

I strongly believe that you need a great client to accomplish great projects. So, once again, I'ld like to thank Mrs Sylvie Polette, VP Jean-Paul Gaultier perfumes - Beauté Prestige International and Remy Gomez, President, Beauté Prestige International for their audacity and trust.

On the image below, taken during the event in Wiesbaden, you see (left to right) Remy Gomez, Maxim's piano player, Maxim Vengerov, Sylvie Polette, David Mileikowsky and Maxim's father. And below, you get an aperçu of the website, which is closed now.
